Optimal DG Allocation and Volt–Var Dispatch for a Droop-Based Microgrid

Unequal reactive power sharing amongst distributed generators (DG) is a significant concern while operating droop based microgrid. The reasons for this unequal include the difference in feeder impedances, uneven distribution of loads and DGs terms size locations. In article, mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) problem applicable microgrid has been proposed to achieve proportional maintaining very low line losses. Firstly, optimal sizing placement are investigated. This includes detailed discussion on linearisation various nonlinear involved formulation. Subsequently, day-ahead dispatch generated these given load profile. Additionally, network reconfiguration incorporated further improvement performance. effect considering practical constant impedance-current-power (ZIP) model, instead simply impedance loads, also assessed. formulation tested 33 bus which modified represent an islanded results obtained validate accuracy planning method demonstrate its utility achieving incurring
